D7 Recruitment is working with a leading employer in the leisure and tourism sector to find a dedicated Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator for their Kendal office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a health and safety professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and growing business environment.
As part of a collaborative team, you will be working closely with health and safety representatives across the business. This role provides the perfect platform to gain further expertise and progress into a management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Policy Support: Assist with implementing and improving health and safety policies and procedures across the business.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the business complies with legal and industry standards.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, carry out root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Training Delivery: Assist with health and safety training and promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation.
- Legislative Knowledge: Stay up to date with relevant legislation and ensure practices are compliant.
- Collaborative Working: Work with various business teams to embed health and safety best practices.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Experience: health and safety-related role (preferably within property, retail, caravan parks, or visitor attractions).
- Qualifications:
- IOSH Managing Safely certification
- A full UK driving licence.
- NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 (or willingness to pursue this qualification).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and risk assessment abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 health and safety management systems.
- Familiarity with construction and maintenance safety, including CDM 2015.
- Project/Leadership experience or exposure to safety initiatives.
