About the Role
As a Carer / Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care in line with best practice, legislation, and agreed care plans, supporting individuals within their own homes. You will:
- Deliver person-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
- Provide complex support such as PEG, Tracheostomy and Cough Assist
- Support daily living tasks such as personal care, dressing, bathing, eating and mobility
- Promote independence, wellbeing and community involvement
- Follow care plans and report any changes in needs or concerns
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals
- Uphold safeguarding, dignity, and respect at all times
- Maintain accurate care records and attend required training to keep skills up to date
- Shifts vary and include evenings, weekends and year-round support
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Driving licence and access to a car
- Complex trained in PEG, Pump, Tracheostomy and Cough Assist
- Good written and spoken English
- Caring, friendly and reliable nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing situations
- Commitment to training, safeguarding and quality care
Desirable
- DBS registered on the update service
- RQF/NVQ qualification in Health & Social Care
- Vast experience supporting individuals with additional or complex needs
