d3t is a world-class co-development studio within the Keywords Studios Group, working on high-profile AAA titles for clients such as EA SPORTS, Playground Games and Marvel. We are looking for a Senior Programmer to join our Engineering Team in the UK, based at either the Daresbury or Newcastle studios. This is a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract (possible extension) with a hybrid working pattern (three days per week in the studio).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work across a variety of programming disciplines (e.g. gameplay, core tech, low-level, UI, tools) on proprietary or commercial engines for multiple platforms.
- Write high-performance code, adhering to coding standards, profiling and optimizing, and collaborate with embedded QA.
- Collaborate with internal and global teams to plan, implement, review and test code and systems.
- Gather requirements and produce technical documentation to ensure features and systems are delivered to a high standard and on time.
- Own work and update tech leads, production and design on progress.
- Work in sub-teams with other programmers and disciplines.
- Lead small sub or feature teams as required.
- Participate in team support and knowledge sharing through code reviews, calls and documentation.
- Continuously update personal knowledge and skill sets.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Languages: C++ (expertise) and at least one other language.
- Engines: Professional experience with at least two of the following – Unreal, Unity, Frostbite or Proprietary.
- Capabilities: Owned the development of systems or features in any of the following categories – gameplay, UI, physics, networking, memory, animation, core tech, graphics, etc.
- Tools: Experienced with IDEs and source control.
- Enthusiastic about taking on any challenge or responsibility.
- Growth-oriented: Driven to learn and improve.
- Role model: Confident supporting junior teammates.
- Teamwork: Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others.
- Communication: Clear, enthusiastic and able to discuss technical solutions and updates with multiple disciplines.
- Experience: 6+ years in professional game programming.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience on released games, remasters or remakes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We work flexibly and value in-person collaboration. This position is offered on a hybrid basis only, with three days per week in the studio (Wednesday, Thursday and another day of your choice). We value work/life balance, have a discretionary flexible hours system and operate a no-crunch policy.
