D3O are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team based in our UK head office. The role would suit a first move from practice to industry. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role offers a great opportunity to work on a broad range of accounting areas whilst adding value to the business as it grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Accounting
- Balance sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules
- Prepare, review and analyse month end stock/inventory report
- Assist with month end accounting procedures
- Update and review company working papers
- Review of consolidated management accounts and eliminating journals
- Manage year-end stock counting
- Ensure compliance with FRS 102 / UK GAAP
- Year-end journals
- Point of contact for statutory auditors
- Cover for other finance team roles where required
- Assist wider business with financial information and analysis where required
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
- Accounts production for medium-sized companies, including working papers with supporting schedules
- Consolidation of group accounts
- Stock counting
- Statutory audit of medium sized companies
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to analyse and present accounting information
Desirable
- Experience working with manufacturing businesses
- Salesforce
- Sage 200
- Knowledge of overseas trading / incoterms
- Experience reconciling stock/COS
- Experience with UK VAT returns
- Experience preparing UK corporation tax computations
Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will be organised and possess strong communication skills (written and verbal). They will be committed to continuous improvement and take pride in the accuracy of their work. The role will involve both working independently and as part of a team. An ability to create good working relationships with the wider business will be beneficial.
Other Information
Based in our Croydon head office, the role will be hybrid working. Professional subscription fees (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) will be covered by the business and CPD will be provided to ensure high technical standards. We also provide private healthcare, on-site gym and on-site parking.
