We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team, someone who takes pride in precision, quality ingredients, and beautifully crafted sushi. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to detail. From nigiri and sashimi to rolls and specialty items, you will ensure every plate reflects the highest standards of presentation and flavour. You will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to maintain quality, organisation, and a smooth service.

Position Details

  • Full-time position (40-hour contract)
  • Salary: Up to £16.22 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Contract: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Saturday
  • Holidays: 28–30 days per year (increasing with service)
  • Requirement: Full right to work in the UK

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi CDP in a quality-driven kitchen
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Experience preparing nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls
  • Understanding of fish quality, handling, and food safety
  • High attention to detail in both flavour and presentation
  • Ability to remain calm during fast-paced service
  • A proactive and organised approach to your section
  • A positive team player who works well with the Head Chef and kitchen team
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and high-quality ingredients
