About Us

At Direct To Market Solutions (D2MS), we’re on a mission to transform direct marketing by doing things differently. Over the past five years, we’ve grown rapidly and with that growth comes the need to strengthen our foundations. We’re now looking for a seasoned People & Culture Partner to help us get the basics right and build a scalable, people infrastructure and capability for our company. We help subscription and growth-focused brands connect with customers in meaningful, human ways through tailored acquisition, retention and event-based strategies. We’re a fully remote organisation with a culture built on flexibility, trust and collaboration. We’re still a small, fast-moving business, so you’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, bring ideas to the table, and enjoy trying new approaches. We value innovation, experimentation and people who take initiative.

What You Will Do

  • Comfortable leading the HR function, we want you to bring your ideas to this role.
  • You will combine hands-on operational HR with project ownership across three core initiatives:
  1. Absence Management Reset
    • Redesign processes, templates and trigger-point conversations; improve Employment Hero (EH) data accuracy. Success indicators: clear baselines, accurate reporting, consistent manager action.
  2. People Management Essentials
    • Refresh grievance & disciplinary policies; create the Passport to Performance toolkit (scripts, templates, checklists); deliver management training. Success indicators: updated policies launched; toolkit embedded; managers trained.
  3. HRIS & Reporting Uplift (Employment Hero)
    • Clean and standardise EH data; eliminate offline trackers; create three core people metrics and dashboards for weekly and board reporting. Success indicators: single source of truth, standardised reporting cadence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day HR Support: Provide ongoing operational HR advice to line leaders and the General Manager, supporting absence, conduct, probation, wellbeing, and early-stage ER matters.
  • Coaching & Capability Building: Coach managers to confidently handle people conversations, embed new tools, and lead effectively in a remote environment.
  • Leadership of Recruitment: Line-manage and develop our internal recruiter, ensuring high-quality hiring processes, consistency and candidate experience.

About You

  • HR generalist experience at Partner level
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and case management experience
  • Proven experience delivering HR projects within fixed timeframes
  • HRIS capability (Experience with Employment Hero is ideal)
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working remotely
  • Thrives in ambiguity, proactive, and excited by building things from scratch in a growing business
