About the Role
We are offering an opportunity to join D2E’s 12-month Graduate Consultant Programme, designed to provide hands-on experience across specialist areas of building engineering, including vertical transportation, façade access and working at height. This is not a traditional classroom-based scheme. From day one, you will be working alongside experienced consultants on real projects, gaining exposure to complex buildings and developing the technical and professional skills required to succeed in a consultancy environment. The programme is structured across a series of rotations, giving you a broad understanding of how buildings function, how they are designed, and how they are maintained and operated in practice. Our intention is to support successful graduates into permanent roles within the business, subject to performance and business need.
What You Will Do
During the programme, you will rotate across key areas of the business, including:
- Design – supporting the development of lift and access strategies for new and existing buildings
- Asset Management – working with clients to manage compliance, performance and lifecycle of assets
- Field & Projects – gaining site experience and understanding how systems operate in practice
- Façade Access – supporting safe and compliant access strategies for building maintenance
- Working at Height – carrying out risk assessments on existing buildings and supporting clients in achieving safe and compliant access arrangements
- Business Operations – developing commercial awareness and understanding how the business operates
You will:
- Support live client projects
- Contribute to technical reports and analysis
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines
- Build an understanding of industry standards, compliance and best practice
Learning & Development
You will benefit from a structured development programme, including:
- Enrolment on the LEIA Introduction to Lift Technology course
- On-the-job learning through real project experience
- A dedicated mentor and buddy throughout the programme
- Regular feedback and structured development reviews
The programme concludes with a final project, where you will apply your learning to deliver a practical solution or improvement within the business.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Graduating in 2026 or have recently graduated
- From a relevant degree background (e.g. Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, Construction or similar)
- Curious, proactive and keen to learn
- Strong communicators with the ability to build relationships
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Interested in how buildings are designed, operate and perform
You do not need prior experience in our specific industry – we will provide the training and support required.
