Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site HGV Class 2 Driver role located just outside Maldon, CM9 8LZ. All roles available involve the safe and timely transport of goods, ensuring compliance with driving laws and company standards. Drivers will manage deliveries, perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and coordinate with logistics teams to complete assigned routes. Additional responsibilities include documenting delivery paperwork and maintaining a high standard of customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid HGV Class 2 license with a proven safe driving record
  • Knowledge of UK driving regulations, tachograph operation, and transport compliance standards
  • Experience in route navigation and use of GPS for optimizing delivery schedules
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to ensure positive client engagements
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and report any maintenance issues
  • Physically fit to handle cargo and operate tail-lifts
  • Flexibility with working hours and willingness to manage varying delivery schedules
  • Previous experience in logistics or haulage operations is advantageous
