Overview

Bedford Borough Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Payroll & HR Transactions individual to join their Transactions team on a permanent basis.

This role will provide an efficient and effective HR and Payroll administrative service to the Council, Schools and external clients, for the employee lifecycle from contracts all the way through to leavers.

You will have experience of high volume payroll processing, ideally with good knowledge of HR documentation requirements and preparation.

Sound experience of working within a team, as well as dealing with internal and external customers via telephone and email is essential, along with consistently high levels of accuracy and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient and effective HR and Payroll administrative service for the employee lifecycle (contracts to leavers) to the Council, Schools and external clients.
  • Demonstrate experience in high-volume payroll processing and knowledge of HR documentation requirements and preparation.
  • Work in a team and handle internal and external customer enquiries via telephone and email with high accuracy and customer service.

  • Ability to work in a team and deliver high levels of accuracy and service.
