We are currently looking to recruit a part time Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy team. You will be reporting to the Advanced Practitioner, and you will be responsible for carrying out assessments to identify needs and agree action plans to meet those needs, taking into account current eligibility criteria. This will include recommending relevant major adaptations in line with current legislation and local processes.
We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of equipment, including specialist equipment, promotes its safe use, maintains good inter-agency working partnerships, and helps to deliver excellent services to the residents of Bedford Borough. You will hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration with HCPC. You should have good communication skills and extensive experience of completing assessments for major adaptations. You will be able to work autonomously, as part of a team, as well as in multi-agency working to ensure that the health and wellbeing of adults in Bedford Borough are paramount to service delivery.
