This is an exciting opportunity to join the shared public health service of Bedford Borough, Milton Keynes City and Central Bedfordshire Councils as a Junior Population Health Analyst. This role offers a training and development opportunity, and you will be expected to complete a nationally accredited qualification in the first 24 months with one day a week of protected training time to achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Public Health Officer to provide population health analysis and advice as part of a shared Population Health, Evidence and Intelligence Team that operates across three local authorities and the BLMK Integrated Care System (ICS).
- Provide data analysis and advice to the public health team and wider partners, support the collection of information, and ensure data quality and integrity while applying best practices to maintain and enhance existing datasets.
- Help develop new data collections to support changing information needs of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a passion for helping achieve the best health outcomes for local communities.

You will work within the BLMK ICS and support public health data analysis and evidence work across partner councils. The role involves data processing and quality assurance activities and the use of best practices for dataset management.
