Process Technologist in Watford

Are you a technically skilled food and drink professional with a proven track record in process optimisation, experimental design, and delivering against product quality and innovation standards?

We’re looking for an experienced Process Technologist to join a fast growing and forward thinking food and beverage manufacturer. You’ll bring strong experience within the food and drink manufacturing sector, with knowledge of UHT, thermal processing or aseptic technologies, alongside hands-on technical capability and the ability to run pilot plant trials that support product development and process improvement.

You’ll be confident in conducting experimental work, analysing data, and working closely with different teams.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working within food and drink, chemical/process engineering or related scientific discipline, ideally with exposure to thermal processing, UHT or aseptic technologies.

• A food science, chemical/process engineering degree or 1–2 years’ hands on experience within a similar technical/process role.

• Strong process and equipment knowledge, with the ability to run pilot plant trials and maintain technical equipment.

• Confident in designing and executing experiments, analysing data, and presenting clear recommendations.

• Familiarity with quality testing methods across chemical, physical, microbiological and/or sensory analysis.

• Excellent problem solving skills with a scientific approach.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with NPD, EPD, and wider technical teams.

• Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
