Job Advert: Senior Development Manager – NPD (New Product Development)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Development Manager to join our New Product Development (NPD) team. As a key player in our product innovation, you will support the end-to-end development and launch of cutting-edge products in sports nutrition, protein powders, ready-to-drink supplements, and medical nutrition. Your expertise in dry powders and product formulations will drive our mission to deliver high-quality, customer-focused products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the development of new products from concept to launch, including generating ideas and formulations.
• Oversee the assessment of raw materials, finished products, and the preparation of samples, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
• Prepare technical documentation, including nutritional calculations, allergen assessments, and ingredient declarations.
• Manage factory trials and oversee 1st Production Sign-offs for all new products.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to present new products and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct research into nutritional powder opportunities and share insights with the team to drive innovation.
• Serve as the main point of contact for packaging sign-offs, compliance, and product specifications.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards for health and safety, quality, and environmental practices.

Key Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience in formulating food products, especially dry powders, protein powders, ready-to-drink supplements, sports nutrition, and medical nutrition.
• In-depth knowledge of NPD processes, food safety, HACCP, allergen management, and industry compliance standards.
• Strong numerical, communication, and IT skills (Microsoft 365, Teams).
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
• A commercial mindset with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Successful product launches and right-first-time delivery.
• Timely, accurate preparation and dispatch of samples and technical data.
• Maintenance of lab supplies and equipment.
