Senior/Lead Geotechnical Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in the development of offshore wind projects. You will be responsible for geotechnical assessments, foundation design, and site investigations, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of offshore wind infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical assessments for offshore wind projects, including soil and seabed analysis.
- Provide foundation design and stability assessments for offshore structures (e.g., monopiles, jackets, gravity-based foundations).
- Interpret geotechnical data from site investigations, including borehole logs and geophysical surveys.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers.
- Support the planning and execution of offshore geotechnical surveys.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in geotechnical methodologies and solutions.
Requirements
β Bachelor\’s or Masterβs degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
β Experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, ideally in the wind energy sector.
β Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles and soil-structure interaction.
β Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Slope/W, GRLWEAP).
β Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ISO, DNV, API).
β Ability to analyze and interpret geotechnical data and provide practical solutions.
β Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
β Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it).
β Experience with numerical modeling of offshore foundations.
