The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer at Pulpex, you’ll play a vital role in keeping their cutting-edge manufacturing and production lines running efficiently and safely. You’ll work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance, and supporting ongoing improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to minimise downtime
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across production lines
- Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure targets are met safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
About You
We’re looking for an adaptable, forward-thinking engineer who enjoys variety, teamwork, and a challenge. You’ll ideally have:
- Time-served apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Experience in FMCG, packaging, food, or manufacturing environments
- A proactive attitude towards maintenance and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
