We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding food manufacturing business in the Cambridgeshire area that's investing heavily in innovation and new product development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious NPD professional with at least 12 months' experience managing projects from concept through to launch. You'll join a fast-paced, highly collaborative team, working across a diverse product portfolio and multiple customer channels while helping bring exciting new products to market.
The Opportunity
As NPD Technologist, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative products from idea generation through to successful launch, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage NPD projects from concept creation through to commercial launch
- Develop innovative products aligned to customer requirements and market trends
- Coordinate factory trials, product validation and scale-up activities
- Work closely with Technical, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams
- Support customer presentations, product tastings and development meetings
- Conduct benchmarking, recipe development and product optimisation
- Ensure products meet quality, cost and commercial targets
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the development process
About You
- At least 12 months' experience within a food manufacturing NPD role
- Experience managing projects from concept through to launch
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Confident communicating with both customers and cross-functional teams
- Passionate about food, innovation and consumer trends
- Food-related qualification advantageous but not essential
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
