Can you use your skills to lead the development and implementation of strategic health, safety, and security systems across operations? The Company A well-established, progressive, and expanding organisation that is the first point of contact as a supplier for high-end food service establishments across the UK. Due to outstanding growth, they are adding experienced people to the team to deliver the finest products to their customers. The Role This key role involves ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, promoting a safety-first culture, and supporting overall operational efficiency through expert advice, training, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and security legislation and regulations across all locations. System Implementation & Improvement: Develop and implement health, safety, and security management systems, monitor their effectiveness, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Training & Development: Identify training needs, develop, and deliver health, safety, and security training for employees at all levels, ensuring full compliance. Incident Management: Investigate accidents and incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations. Ensure incidents are reported in line with RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) and work closely with relevant authorities when necessary. Continuous Improvement: Drive continual improvement in safety practices, ensuring all procedures align with statutory requirements and organisational policies. Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct safety audits and site inspections to assess risk, identify areas for improvement, and report findings to senior management. Data Analysis: Capture and analyse health, safety, and security data to develop and implement improvement plans. Your Skill & Experience • Extensive experience in health, safety, and security management, preferably in a multi-site food distribution environment. • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in health, safety, and security. • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in Health & Safety. • Experience managing safety audits, incident investigations, and RIDDOR reports. • Proven ability to develop and implement safety systems and training programmes. • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical, actionable solutions. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels. • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
