b Overview /b p In this role you will lead own-brand sourcing activities for a major UK convenience retailer, driving cost reduction, supplier negotiations, and new product development. You will work cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and operations teams to shape sourcing strategy and deliver measurable results. You will manage multiple sourcing projects, monitor supplier performance, and proactively mitigate risks to supply continuity. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role with national scope and significant influence on supplier strategy. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead sourcing projects, tenders and supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and cost savings /li li Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, availability and resilience /li li Build strong supplier relationships and drive performance and service improvements /li li Identify new sourcing and product development opportunities and support launches /li li Monitor supply chains and manage risks around availability, lead times, MOQs, date codes and waste /li li Lead cost-saving and sourcing projects from opportunity through implementation /li li Analyse market, category and supplier data to identify commercial opportunities /li li Present recommendations and commercial updates to stakeholders and senior management /li li Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring benefits are delivered /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 2+ years buying experience within retail or wholesale /li li Experience managing cost of goods in own-brand/private-label categories /li li Proven supplier negotiation and cost-saving experience /li li Experience managing tenders or sourcing projects /li li Understanding of production and supply-chain considerations /li li Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills /li li Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills /li li Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment /li li Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint /li li Degree or equivalent relevant commercial experience /li /ul ul li Strong stakeholder management skills /li li Excellent negotiation and influencing ability /li li Analytical and data-driven decision making /li li Excel /li li PowerPoint /li li analytical skills /li /ul
