Working 4 on 4 off DAYS ONLY
If you’re a quality professional with a strong understanding of food safety and auditing, this is an excellent opportunity to take on a central role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of product, process, and systems checks, ensuring that everything leaving the site meets customer, legislative, and certification requirements.
This is a hands-on, site-based role in Rotherham, working across all areas of production to monitor standards and drive improvements. You’ll be a visible presence on the floor, carrying out independent process checks, leading taste panels, and ensuring positive release procedures are followed.
As the QA Auditor, you’ll complete GMP, CCP, foreign body, fabrication, and quality system audits, as well as maintaining organoleptic schedules, shelf-life testing, and allergen control measures. You’ll play a key role in supporting the HACCP system, training colleagues on critical control points, and ensuring allergen procedures are followed at all times. You’ll also assist during customer and third-party audits, help with complaint investigations, and make sure documentation is accurate and fully compliant.
The role covers a broad technical remit, including microbiological, nutritional, allergen, and swab testing schedules, as well as supporting pest control activities in collaboration with the hygiene team. You’ll work closely with colleagues across technical, production, and other departments to ensure quality standards are understood and maintained.
We’re looking for someone with previous QA experience in food manufacturing, ideally with knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and customer standards. You’ll need to be confident in your communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential, along with a methodical and proactive approach to problem solving.
In return, you’ll join a supportive technical team with opportunities for professional development, access to private healthcare, 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, and participation in an employee rewards platform
