To support the Technical Team in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and compliance across the manufacturing site.
The role will provide day-to-day technical support to the factory, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, GMP, customer and regulatory requirements, while supporting audits, investigations, supplier management and continual improvement.
- Technical & Compliance
- Support the factory with technical queries, internal audits, traceability exercises and day-to-day compliance issues.
- Maintain technical systems, procedures and documentation in line with BRCGS, customer and site requirements.
- Develop and update company procedures and specifications where required.
- Support GMP, hygiene and procedural audits and work closely with Production and other teams to maintain and improve site standards.
- Provide technical cover and support for compliance queries in the absence of the Technical Manager.
- Non-Conformance & Customer Support
- Log, investigate and support the resolution of non-conformances, customer complaints and technical issues.
- Liaise with customers regarding technical queries, investigations and relevant product information.
- Support the management of sample results, Certificates of Analysis and out-of-specification results, ensuring appropriate escalation.
- Assist with customer specifications and technical documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
- Suppliers, Certification & Site Standards
- Manage the site's pest control contractor, monitoring performance and ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
- Support raw material supplier management and assist with raw material data and specification requirements.
- Maintain and support relevant certifications, including Halal, Kosher and Sedex.
- Assist with special technical projects and site improvement initiatives as required.
- Quality & Laboratory Support
- Support routine quality checks and emergency laboratory testing where required.
- Maintain accurate technical records and ensure information is communicated effectively to relevant teams.
- Work collaboratively across Production, Quality, Customer Service and other functions to resolve issues and maintain compliance. xgikmsk
