ROLE Kickstart your career in the food industry with our client's Graduate Food Technologist role! This entry-level position is designed to help you develop the skills and experience needed to grow into a Technical Manager, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of an Exclusive Brand product portfolio. As a Graduate Food Technologist, you’ll receive hands-on training in guiding products from concept to launch, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring each product meets our high standards for quality, safety, and compliance. You’ll work closely with experienced Technical Managers, gaining valuable insights and support to build your knowledge and technical expertise. Key responsibilities and training areas: * Technical Support and Development: Learn to support product development and ensure products meet legal, safety, quality, and ethical requirements. * Supplier Engagement and Compliance: Accompany senior team members on supplier visits, assist in site audits, and gain experience in supplier assessments. * Quality Assurance and Product Evaluations: Participate in product testing, evaluations, and corrective action planning with guidance from Technical Managers. * Customer and Stakeholder Liaison: Develop communication skills to handle customer queries, understand feedback trends, and work towards reducing complaints. CANDIDATE * A recent degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Life Science, or a related technical field * A strong interest in building a career in the food industry, with a passion for learning about diverse food categories * Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail * A team player with good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving * A valid UK driving license (or actively working toward one) This role offers a structured development path, with mentorship and training from experienced professionals, preparing you to take on a Technical Manager position over time.
