My client who is a prestigious and well-established business in Somerset are seeking a Food Technologist to join their passionate and quality-driven team. Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and manage robust food safety policies, procedures, and programs across retail and production.
- Deliver regular training on hygiene, food safety, and compliance requirements to staff.
- Conduct food safety audits and GMP checks, ensuring adherence to the latest regulatory standards.
- Liaise with suppliers to evaluate their food safety practices and resolve any non-conformances.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints through cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage and maintain accurate product specifications using internal systems.
- Monitor and report on food safety performance, driving continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in a similar technical food role (retail, hospitality or production setting).
- Solid understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and food labelling legislation.
- Strong IT and data analysis skills to support specification and compliance work.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
