Development Chef

Market Leading Food Manufacturer now looking to recruit… BASED NORTH YORKSHIRE ROLE Reporting into the NPD Manager, main responsibilities include the following: * Take products from development concept through to successful launch. * Develop and make safe, legal and achievable products * Provide and ensure accurate collation of information i.e. ingredients, recipes, costings * Document all work according to established procedures in order to communicate project status, progress, issues, solutions etc. * Attend both internal & external taste panels as part of the development cycle, evaluate results and set target product profiles to achieve a successful launch. * Ensure on time delivery of samples required by customers. * Source, test and highlight the use of new ingredients, processes and packaging * Liaise with customers in the creation of new products, including presentations * Maintain awareness of industry trends, consumer requirements and the availability of novel ingredients and processing aids. * Maintain chef skills and recipe evolution * Comply with all standard company policies. CANDIDATE You will have previous experience working as a Chef. Applications are welcome from a hospitality background but you must be able to take ownership over what will be a rewarding role working to the demands of the Major retailers. Food Manufacturing exposure would be desirable/nice to have. Mon- Fri 9am- 5pm 28 Days Holidays Company Pension
