A market-leading B2B food ingredients and distribution specialist near Cheshunt is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their fast-paced commercial operations team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a key, highly collaborative role where you will support the external field sales team, manage customer accounts, and ensure smooth order fulfilment from placement to delivery. What You’ll Be Doing * Accurately process customer orders, provide live pricing information, and manage day-to-day customer enquiries across phone, email, and digital channels. * Analyse customer buying patterns to identify lost or lapsed product lines, conduct daily outbound follow-up calls, and assist with marketing campaign follow-ups (no cold calling!). * Take end-to-end ownership of customer queries, provide precise delivery updates/ETAs, and resolve logistics or order discrepancies smoothly. * Work closely with your External Account Manager, assisting with product & pricing enquiries and delivery time frames when they are with their customers * Maintain accurate records within the sales database, updating product, customer, and pricing data. Your Skills & Experience * Solid background in an administrative or sales support environment. * High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. And prior experience using ERP systems (such as SAP) or CRM software. * Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities under deadline pressure. * Clear, professional communication skills for phone and email communications. * Experience in a B2B environment or the food manufacturing/ingredients sector. * Proven track record in customer relationship building or outbound sales support
