D R Newitt are working with a close client in the food industry who due to growth are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. On offer is a salary of £45,000 plus unique company benefits. You will be joining a highly respected business, specialising in baked goods who are undergoing long-term growth. Key duties: * Attend retail outlets and / or factory areas on a regular basis to monitor safety and assist managers in ensuring H&S activities are met and reviewed as necessary. * Provide support at investigation of all accidents ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and corrective actions are undertaken by appropriate management to agreed timescales. * Co-ordinate and conduct on-site Health & Safety training * In conjunction with senior management review of H&S policies, procedures, targets and objectives. Candidate requirements: * Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a hands on and proactive approach. * Resilient and able to follow tasks through to completion. * Able to effectively influence to increase awareness and knowledge of Health & Safety and develop safety culture. * True passion for Health & Safety and a genuine desire to make a difference. * Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks, manage time effectively and to work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment.
