We are looking for an ambitious and proactive NPD Bread Technologist to join our industry-leading team in delivering high-quality, customer-focused bakery solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with new product development in the bread category and build the foundation for a long-term technical career—progressing to a Technical Field Manager role supporting key customers within 2–4 years.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out accurate and repeatable test bakes for internal projects and customer requests.
- Support customer presentations by producing high-quality product samples and eventually leading sessions.
- Analyse development trials, prepare concise reports, and communicate outcomes clearly to internal teams and customers.
- Upload and manage documentation (e.g., specifications, trial data) into the NPD system.
- Collaborate with Finance to track ingredient and product development costs.
- Learn ingredient functionality and formulation through hands-on project ownership.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure developments are delivered on time and to standard.
- Support process development projects in parallel with NPD.
Your Progression Path:
- Lead bakery technology deployments for new and existing strategic customers.
- Build deep technical relationships with key accounts, offering bakery insight and innovation support.
- Present and demonstrate new product concepts to customers, both virtually and on-site.
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams and business unit managers to drive strategic innovation.
- Support new business development while aligning technical and commercial targets.
- Manage customer project pipelines transparently, ensuring visibility across teams.
