Our client take extra care in producing very popular, delicious goods. Commitment to hygiene is central to everything they do, and they are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Grade 1 (Higher Level) Nights Hygiene Operative to join their team and help maintain those standards.
ROLE
As a Nights Hygiene Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the manufacturing environment is kept impeccably clean and hygienic in line with food safety regulations. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to engage with different departments to maintain hygiene compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitation of equipment, production areas, and facilities during night shifts
- Ensure hygiene procedures comply with internal policies and external food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with Production, Technical, and Maintenance teams
- Identify and report any hygiene or safety non-conformances
- Confidently challenge poor practices and uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain hygiene documentation and records accurately and clearly
CANDIDATE
- Previous experience in a hygiene role within a food manufacturing environment
- A passion for hygiene and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The confidence to liaise across departments and challenge where necessary
- A minimum Level 2 Food Safety qualification
- COSHH training (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- A formal cleaning qualification is desirable
