About the Role:
You will play a key role in the development of new and existing products across a variety of categories, including home baking kits, noodle pots, rice, and pasta snacks. You’ll gain hands-on experience throughout the entire product development cycle—from concept to launch—working closely with cross-functional teams including Technical, Procurement, Marketing, Commercial, and Production. This role offers fantastic opportunities for professional growth, with full training provided and exposure to major UK retailers, international markets (including the US and Australia), and both branded and own-label products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior NPD Technologists with account briefs, recipe development, benchmarking, and taste panels.
- Assist with the end-to-end development process, ensuring recipes meet customer and technical requirements.
- Complete account-specific documentation (e.g. sample submissions, QAS, NPDTTs).
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop cooking instructions and manage nutritional testing for new products.
- Organise and attend factory trials, documenting outputs accurately.
- Monitor trends and bring fresh ideas into concept development.
- Support customer meetings and internal presentations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proactive and enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for food innovation.
- Even if you don’t have a degree in a food-related subject, this company can offer to put you through an apprenticeship scheme!
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
