We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworks Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team on-site with BCP and Wessex Water.

Duties

  • Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction and utilities/groundworks based tasks.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required.
  • Prepare job sites by cleaning and clearing debris to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Perform general maintenance on tools and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.

Experience

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with basic construction tools and techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report any issues promptly.
  • A valid CSCS card is desirable but can be obtained upon employment if necessary.

  • First Aid Basic Certificate
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • National Hygiene Card
  • Working at Height Certificate
  • General Pollution Awareness Training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00 per hour
