They are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the catering operations, including hygiene and food safety, the quality and timeliness of served meals and ensuring an inspiring, safe and fulfilling environment for our staff during their work. If you have some cooking skills, are excited and able to manage and motivate an international team of volunteers, and would like to gain experience in running a kitchen, we look forward to your application.

  • Communicates well in written and spoken English.

It sounds cliche, but working as a Catering Assistant at KISC has been one of the most challenging but also most rewarding experiences of my life. One of the best things about this role is the opportunity to lead and mentor Short Term Staff, teaching them how to work in a busy kitchen and make delicious food for hundreds of Scouts. You help give them the tools to work in an international team, and show that cooking doesn’t have to be a scary thing! If you love to cook, are passionate about teaching young people, and can keep your cool under pressure, this is the role for you.
