D.M. Wills Associates Limited is in search of a Civil Engineering Co-op Student or Recent Graduate to join our Dam Engineering Practice Area. The ideal candidate will have an interest in dams and water resources engineering.
As a member of our Dam Engineering Practice Area, this role will focus on the technical aspects of project delivery, including report preparation, drafting, GIS, fieldwork preparation and documentation, and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling. We are looking for someone who thrives on tackling technical challenges and keeps up with advancements in technology and software tools.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist with preparation for field work, including dam inspections.
- Assist with field work, including but not limited to dam inspections and survey.
- Assist with the documentation of field inspections, including photo organization, photo labelling, and video preparation.
- Provide drafting and GIS support.
- Assist with hydrologic modelling and analysis.
- Assist with hydraulic modelling and analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, figures, letters, drawings, and maps.

Significant Qualifications / Experience
- Completed or working towards a Civil Engineering Technology or Technician diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
- Proficiency with GIS software (i.e., ArcMap/ArcPro/QGIS) would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) would be considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel across Ontario for fieldwork.
- Ontario G-class driver’s license (or eligible to obtain).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
