We are looking for a Bodyshop Advisor to join our Bodyshop team, based in Leeds.
About Us
Our business started over 60 years ago and has been in the same family ever since. From our very humble beginnings, we have grown to be in the top 50 car dealers in the country. Across our 26 businesses we have a stable workforce of over 600 people, many of whom have been with us for years. We are always on the lookout for nice, genuine people who genuinely care about our customers and have a can-do attitude. Our recruitment philosophy is that we recruit for attitude and train for skills, which means that although we are often looking for specific technical skills, if you like working with customers and you are attracted by our Family Values of Fit, Fun, Family and Fearless, you’ll fit in well here and we’d like to hear from you even if you have no experience of the automotive industry.
We expect you to work hard but in return we will offer you an industry-leading package, flexible working hours and a real opportunity to progress: we prefer to promote from within and you will see this in every one of our sites. You must possess an outrageous ambition to want to be the best and you won’t let anyone stop you.
About You
As a Bodyshop Advisor you will have excellent organisation skills and be able to manage the demands of multiple duties. Your duties will include:
- Dealing with all customers in a professional and prompt manner whilst portraying a positive first impression of the Bodyshop Department.
- Being the first point of contact for customer bookings into the body shop, providing regular updates in relation to the progress of the work completed.
- Making contact on notification of repairs, arranging estimates, ordering parts and managing the courtesy cars and diary.
- Matching, creating and ensuring the final invoice is correct and issuing the guarantee for the repairs subject to a final QC process.
- Reviewing and chasing existing debts owed to the company by its work providers and liaising with the accounts department.
You will need the ability to prioritise your workload along with a strong attention to detail. While you do not need extensive technical knowledge, you would ideally have some administrative experience and a basic understanding of administration in an automotive setting. More importantly, you will be a person with high standards of customer service, a positive and effective communicator and be able to consistently adhere to strict processes. You will be liaising with customers, work providers and your Bodyshop team, maximising the performance of all aspects of the job. This is a busy but rewarding role, requiring a committed and reliable work ethic, alongside a desire to enjoy the role and work within a great team. Customer care is key to our operations and demonstrating great awareness in this area is essential. You must hold a valid UK driving licence.
What we offer:
- Bonus based on achieving budget.
- World-class training provided from our own trainer and our brand partners.
- 30 days annual leave inclusive of 8 bank holidays, with average commission paid during your annual leave.
- Preferential rates for servicing and repairs on your family and friends' cars.
- A workplace pension scheme.
- Up to £1000 referral scheme.
Hours: 45 Hours Mon-Fri 8:00-17:30 (45 hour week, 30 minute lunch). Saturdays as overtime as requested and in line with business needs.
