As Regional Stock Controller, you will be responsible for the implementation of stock management policies and procedures and for ensuring accurate and efficient management of stocks in partner and distributor outlets.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient management of stocks in partner and distributor outlets with correct stock entries updated promptly.
  • Analyze the stock reports, including aging and optimization, for the ECs visited.
  • Identify any discrepancies, excess stock, or stock shortages and take the necessary actions.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for variances or discrepancies detected.
  • Determine underlying causes and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Review infrastructure mapping to ECs, highlight ECs with low SEPs, redistribute aged stocks, and plan and execute redistribution to ECs with higher velocity to optimize stock allocation.
  • Perform physical verification, regular reconciliations, and general monitoring of stock activity.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc inventory level and consumption reports to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and participate in monthly and annual stock counts in the field, perform reconciliations, and highlight variances to the operations/warehouse department.
  • Reconcile stock deliveries with purchase orders and invoices.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to implement a control system that reduces inventory obsolescence.
  • Support accurate and timely reporting by ensuring all stock data is updated correctly.
  • Escalate all sighted variances to the warehouse manager for further investigation.
  • Carry out spot checks of stock balances in partner and distributor outlets against system records and capture any anomalies.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to track shipments, oversee inventory audits, and maintain purchase and pricing reports.
  • Familiar with supply chain procedures and strong communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Able to analyze data and stock statistics and translate results into better solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven results in delivering stock solutions and meeting logistics goals.
  • Must be resident within the region.
