The Role:

D.G Caw Ltd is a trusted remedial, repair and groundworks contractor specialising in insurance reinstatement and subsidence projects. We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive Groundworker to work alongside our team at D.G Caw. The timeframe is ongoing and expected to last at least 3 months. This position requires a 'working lead' who can interpret site requirements, make informed decisions under time pressure, and manage small teams to ensure projects are completed to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Leadership: Oversee and execute complex groundwork tasks, providing direction to others when required.
  • Specialist Reinstatement: Execute high-quality subsidence repairs and insurance led reinstatements, including underpinning and structural drainage works.
  • Technical Execution: Expertly manage excavation, trenching, foundations, and drainage installations independently.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential site issues (utilities, ground conditions, etc.) and propose solutions before they impact the timeline, whilst communicating with the Managing Director where necessary.
