The Opportunity

This is more than a warehouse management role. As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a large operational team, ensuring that goods flow safely, accurately and efficiently through our warehouse. You’ll oversee inbound, storage and outbound activities while driving productivity, maintaining high standards and developing the people around you. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll spend time on the warehouse floor, supporting your team, solving operational challenges and ensuring every shift delivers against its targets. What You’ll Be Leading

  • Manage Warehouse Supervisors, MHE Drivers and Warehouse Operatives
  • Create a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture
  • Coach and develop colleagues to maximise performance and capability
  • Lead by example and maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor
  • Ensure teams work safely, efficiently and collaboratively
  • Support employee development and succession planning

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Operational Performance
  • Managing goods-in, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch activities
  • Delivering productivity, service and quality targets
  • Maintaining stock accuracy and warehouse standards
  • Ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately
  • Resolving operational issues and removing barriers to performance
  • Managing staffing levels and shift resource planning
  • Monitoring attendance, timekeeping and shift cover
  • Supporting performance management and employee relations matters
  • Delivering team briefings, toolbox talks and operational communications
  • Coaching Supervisors and developing future talent
