We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliableJunior Commercial Managerto join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at our Banbury site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Negotiation:Negotiate with suppliers to deliver the most competitive pricing and profit levels.
- Category Management:Provide customers with a tailored range of products and promotions that suit their individual needs, using a category management approach.
- Business Development:Increase business with existing suppliers and develop new opportunities in line with profit guidelines.
- Inventory Management:Recover all costs associated with residuals, overstocks, and out-of-date stock.
- Networking & Representation:Represent DCS Group at meetings, events, and seminars, building relationships with a variety of networks including customers and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prioritization & Decision-Making:Ability to prioritize and make effective commercial decisions in time-sensitive situations.
- Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial Awareness:A solid understanding of commercial principles with the ability to negotiate and influence decisions.
- Technical Skills:Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Team Focus:Self-motivated, flexible to change, and a strong team player.
