About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly organized, systems-minded Operations Manager to help scale the infrastructure behind Cyvl’s rapid growth. In this role, you’ll own our hiring pipeline and HR policies, lead the structure and upkeep of internal documentation, and develop the operational tools that power our hardware and data workflows. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, builds clarity out of complexity, and wants to shape the culture and systems of a scaling startup. You’ll also be expected to explore and apply emerging AI tools to streamline processes, improve documentation, and increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
HR & People Operations
- Own and manage the full hiring pipeline for all departments, from outreach to onboarding
- Draft and maintain company HR policies, benefits documentation, and employee records
- Support team leaders with recruiting coordination, scheduling, and offer logistics
- Coordinate internal onboarding plans for new hires and ensure smooth integration
Internal Systems & Documentation
- Design and manage the company’s internal knowledge structure (e.g., Notion, Confluence, Drive)
- Develop and enforce standardized documentation practices across departments
- Organize and maintain SOPs, training guides, process docs, and internal playbooks
- Act as the documentation point person for cross-functional teams
Operations Tools & Process Building
- Work closely with the Operations team members to build scalable tooling for hardware and data operations
- Develop or oversee implementation of systems for inventory tracking, job processing, and logistics management
- Monitor usage and performance of internal tools; propose and execute improvements
- Support coordination between teams (sensor, data, CS) to ensure process alignment
- Leverage new and emerging AI tools to automate workflows, streamline documentation, and scale operational effectiveness
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience in an operations, people ops, or administrative systems role at a startup or high-growth company
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing hiring pipelines and recruiting coordination Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proactive and self-directed; you love building from scratch
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Notion, Confluence, Airtable, or similar internal tools
- Experience working in companies with hardware or logistics components
- Prior exposure to HR platforms (Gusto, Rippling, Deel, etc.)
- Comfort working in fast-moving startup environments with minimal process
- Experience building or managing asset tracking or internal request systems
