Position Overview
As a Senior Front End Engineer at Cytora, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product. You will work closely with UX designers, front‑end and back‑end engineers, and product managers to build our main product offering in Insurtech. Your responsibilities include managing stakeholders like CX/BA, taking initiative where necessary, influencing product roadmaps, and collaborating with our UX design team to establish best practices.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate within a growing team to develop and maintain full‑stack TypeScript production‑grade web applications.
- Utilize your expertise in JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React and Redux to deliver features on time and of high quality.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of agile fundamentals, contributing to an efficient and collaborative development process.
- Work with back‑end engineers, consulting on contract design to ensure the APIs are fit for purpose.
- Have an eye for detail and empathy for the end‑user, putting yourself in their shoes and working with UX to deliver impactful user experiences.
What you bring
- Significant experience building and maintaining full‑stack JavaScript production‑grade web applications.
- Hands‑on commercial experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of functional programming paradigms and real‑world usage, as well as other patterns such as the \”singleton\” pattern where appropriate.
- A team player who can work with various people across the business and is comfortable with autonomy.
- Understanding that success is a team effort and that team cohesion and maintaining a good culture is as important as technical proficiency.
- Experience working with APIs, services, and third‑party providers / SDKs.
- Able to operate with limited information, identify gaps, and close them with a focus on delivery while communicating any risks properly.
