Position Overview: The Senior Product Manager – Cell Line and Cell Culture Media Services is responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy for our cell line and media businesses. This position reports to the Vice President of Product Management for Cell Culture Media and is part of the Cell Culture Media business unit located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on-site role. Alternate locations of Logan UT, Uppsala -SWE or Amersham - UK will also be considered. Remote location could be a consideration if the candidate not only meets, but exceeds minimum requirements.

What you will do:

  • Develop a 5-year strategic plan for both cell line and cell culture media services, including a new go-to-market strategy and framework for these offerings.
  • Collaborate with other product managers within the portfolio to leverage services for growth.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and identify new products or segments that meet business objectives.
  • Work directly with marketing teams on positioning and messaging of portfolio in the market.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaborations with commercial and technical teams to support customers and address product concerns.
  • Provide portfolio training to commercial teams and other various functions.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, business, life sciences, or engineering.
  • Foundational understanding of upstream cell culture workflows and products.
  • Experience in building and implementing complex strategies and working with a diverse portfolio of products.
  • Understanding of complex manufacturing processes including the impact of economies of scale in the manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Sales, Cell Culture Process Development, or R&D.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – up to 25% globally.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb/11kg in an office environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Master’s degree or higher in applicable fields (MBA, MS).
  • Strong understanding of the biotechnology research market.
  • First-hand experience with CHO cell line development.
