An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) to play a pivotal role in driving sustained performance improvement across our Newquay site. You will lead the deployment of the Danaher Business System to strengthen site KPIs while building long-term capability through structured problem solving and Kaizen excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Drive optimization of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity (Cost) and overall performance by championing DBS and embedding a strong culture of continuous improvement across global Operations sites, using DBS tools such as Daily Management, VSM, 5S, Standard Work, TPM, SMED, TPI, VRK and Lean Conversion.
- Actively participate, facilitate, collaborate and lead, daily, weekly and monthly L3 Operations meetings.
- Coach and mentor the site team in the use of structured DBS tools to facilitate sustained performance improvements.
- Work with the Site Leadership team to create and sustain Policy Deployment frameworks, Bowler Charts, Action Plans and Problem Solving Processes; consolidate and analyze KPIs from manufacturing site, resulting in the development of Action Plans to address areas of opportunity.
- Champion adherence to the standards defined through the deployment of DBS.
- Manage the site DBS leadership process, including Daily Management, Kaizen funnels, generation of Action Plans and their sustainment.
- Engage with and coordinate with any necessary Cytiva functions and/or leaders to remove any roadblocks preventing optimized operational performance.
- Identify and execute optimization work packages across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity to enable YOY improvements through the deployment of DBS tools and techniques.
- Develop and maintain a DBS roadmap for the site functional areas to continue the development journey of DBS.
Who You Are
- Degree in Engineering or Business professional engineering certification and/or masters degree preferred, or demonstrable years served.
- Experience in process improvements using lean manufacturing methodology/Lean manufacturing with a combination of project management and business process analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and functions and at all levels of the business.
- Proven track record in optimizing KPIs around Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
- Ability to energize, develop and build rapport, collaborate and influence at all levels within an organization.
- It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in high level presentation and interpersonal skills - able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact that builds effective strategic relationships.
- Experience in KanBan, Heijunka, Inventory Reduction, Inventory Turns, Waste elimination and productivity improvement.
