The Senior Director HR for Filtration will serve as a strategic advisor to the General Manager and leadership team, shaping the people, talent and organisational agenda for a $1.3B global business of more than 2,150 associates.
The role will drive organisational effectiveness, leadership development, talent strategy, engagement and transformation initiatives that accelerate business performance and strengthen Cytiva's culture and long‑term capabilities.
Through close partnership with business leaders, HR teams and Centres of Excellence, this leader will have a significant impact on business results by ensuring the organisation has the talent, leadership capability, culture and organisational design needed to achieve its growth ambitions and deliver life‑changing innovations for customers and patients.
The position reports to the VP HR RFM, CTO & Clinical Programs and is part of the RFM OPCO team located in the UK and will be an on‑site role based in Amersham or one of the Filtration manufacturing sites in Ilfracombe, Portsmouth or Cardiff.
- What You’ll Do
- Proactively engage with the GM and their leadership team, acting as a thought partner on business, people and organization‑related opportunities to drive business results and build culture.
- Determine organizational implications of business strategy; facilitate organizational diagnosis and metrics to drive organizational effectiveness through talent and organizational capabilities and culture.
Partner with local HR and Talent Management to drive annual strategic talent processes.
- Enable leaders to assess and create talent development opportunities and facilitate cross‑functional talent movement.
- Assess and identify retention and engagement trends; partner with local HR and Talent Management teams to develop and implement retention and engagement strategies.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders for performance improvement, facilitating difficult feedback and other employee relations support as required.
Partner with regional HR teams to identify performance management trends in the organization and identify countermeasures to close gaps.
- Through DBS, identify key targets to improve metrics to analyse and solve business problems that impact organizational effectiveness.
- Partner closely with the HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) and Regional HR teams to execute programs, processes and practices, including Performance Management, Retention and Engagement efforts, Learning and Development, Compensation Planning, and Organization Talent Review.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in progressive HR leadership roles, including leading and developing global teams.
- Strong cross‑functional collaborator, able to influence stakeholders effectively within complex, matrixed environments.
- Credible and commercially savvy HR partner, recognised as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Self‑motivated and adaptable leader who thrives in fast‑paced, evolving environments and drives change and transformation.
- Passionate about building and elevating HR capability, with a track record of developing high‑performing, cross‑functional talent.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with high levels of curiosity, resilience, and a hands‑on approach to delivering results in ambiguous environments.
