The Productivity Leader is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, harmonization and standardization of processes or ways of working, and guiding strategic goal‑setting across the Automation & Digital (A&D) organization. Your success will be measured through achievement of productivity and efficiency targets such as resource utilization, increased throughput, and measurable efficiency gains. Expected impact on the business includes on time/on target delivery, output capacity, operational expense, and better overall quality performance.
Working closely with A&D senior leadership, the role requires streamlining a global and robust framework with workflows rooted in Danaher Business System (DBS) fundamentals and state‑of‑the‑art tools in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). You will lead and participate in various DBS Kaizen workshops resulting in action plans and sustainable results. In addition, you will analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, resolve issues, and implement enhancements that drive sustained productivity. This position reports to the Director, Operations Excellence and is part of the Automation & Digital Center of Excellence as an onsite role located in either Amersham, UK or Portsmouth, UK.
What You Will Do
- Support R&D key strategies by identifying optimal locations, defining staffing models, and planning project transition timelines.
- Establish Transformation Governance through KPIs, dashboards, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and measurable progress.
- Lead Automation and standardization initiatives by leveraging AI/RPA tools, piloting solutions in Automation, and establishing standardized frameworks.
- Harmonize processes and tools by aligning ways of working, defining a unified toolchain strategy, and converging on a single ALM platform with migration and training plans.
- Ensure accountability and productivity optimization by prioritizing impact areas, assigning ownership, and implementing metrics and early‑warning indicators.
Who You Are
- Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Engineering/Computer Science/Business) or formal certification in transformation/operations (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Six Sigma, DBS).
- Long‑standing experience in tech/R&D operations, transformation roles and/or productivity improvements, including site relocation/stand‑up of hubs and large‑scale process/tool migrations or standardizations.
- Familiarity with AI/RPA concepts, KPI design, dashboards, and data‑driven decision‑making for productivity optimization.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and drive adoption across diverse teams.
- Strong communications skills, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and ability to align teams on new processes and tools.

Ability to travel 5‑10% of the time globally.
