The R&D Engineer will support research and development activities focused on the design, development, and validation of life sciences products. This role involves hands-on technical work, project support, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position is part of Filtration R&D located in our Harbourgate facility in Portsmouth and will be an onsite role. In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

• Assist in product, material, or process design and development.
• Contribute to projects involving design, development, manufacture, validation, and documentation of life sciences products in line with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Maintain accurate project plans and records; provide progress updates as required.
• Support efforts to ensure products are fit for purpose, validated, and manufacturable.
• Collaborate with R&D team and cross-functional groups (Production, Sales, Suppliers).

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

• MEng with placement year, OR BEng/MEng with 1–2 years of industry experience.
• Ability to analyse data and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Executing technical tasks and experiments with minimal supervision.
• Application of engineering and scientific principles to solve problems and analyse data.
• Maintaining accurate project plans and records; providing progress updates as required.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel - as required to the different sites.
