We are looking for a Labour and Employee Relations Advisor to deliver a high quality and solutions focused employee relations service across the UK and Ireland. The role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes on all matters related to employee relations. This role ensures legal compliance, reduces organisational risk, and promotes positive working relationships and will manage complex caseload, supports policy development, and aims to build capability within our People Leader population to foster a fair, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.

This position is part of the United Kingdom and Ireland Human Resources team and will report to the Labour and Employee Relations Specialist and will be an onsite role. The role will require some travel when needed to our sites across the UK and Ireland.

What You Will Do
  • Manage high volume employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and capability issues.
  • Support and conduct investigations, including reviewing statements, interview notes, evidence packs, and outcome letters.
  • Providing support to People Leaders at disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Provide coaching and advice to managers to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records within the HR system and ensure compliance with internal service level agreements and the ACAS Code of Practice.
  • Travel across our sites in the United Kingdom as needed to support complex casework and to assist with the delivery of training.
Who You Are
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and the ACAS Code of Practice.
  • Excellent investigative, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and coach managers at all levels.
  • High level of attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Essential Criteria
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified, or educated to degree level in Business, Law, or a related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience operating in an HR advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex employee relations cases through to resolution.
  • Proven experience managing a complex employee relations caseload.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience in an HR advisory or centralised Employee Relations service environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience working within a complex, multi-matrix organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
