Job Summary
The Service Implementation Manager will take ownership of turning commercial agreements into reliable, business-as-usual services within NHS trusts. They will ensure clinic capacity, staffing resilience, and service continuity during implementation, providing hands-on support until services are fully embedded. The Service Implementation Manager will also visit established customers who are looking to expand clinic capacity and extend capsule sponge use to both the Surveillance and Reflux use cases. They will provide “boots on the ground” information to support the development of clear, evidence-based business cases that stand up to board scrutiny, accelerate approvals, and articulate the full clinical, operational, and system value of the service. They will coordinate across Sales, Clinical, and Operations teams to enable smooth handovers and repeatable, scalable delivery, while clarifying clinical pathways and supporting the transition from trial activity to standard care enabling customers to meet their test volumes.
What you will be doing
- Service Operations - Ensure clinic capacity, resilience, and continuity. Work directly with NHS trusts to secure sufficient clinic capacity to support reliable and predictable service delivery. Support trusts in developing sustainable staffing models, ensuring adequate administrative and nursing coverage to mitigate operational risk. Provide hands-on support with day-to-day service management during implementation, maintaining service continuity until the service is fully embedded and stable. Identify early operational risks and intervene proactively to prevent disruption to clinics and patient flow.
- Cross Functional Delivery - Enable smooth implementation and scalable delivery. Manage effective handovers between Sales, Clinical, and Operations teams to ensure a clear and efficient transition from commercial interest to live service. Design and embed repeatable implementation processes that enable consistent rollout across multiple sites. Coordinate resources across departments to prevent duplication of effort, missed dependencies, or delays. Act as a central point of accountability for implementation progress, escalating risks and resolving blockers quickly.
- Service Design - Strengthen pathway clarity and integration. Clarify and resolve confusion between participation in BEST4 and business-as-usual adoption of the service. Work with clinical and operational stakeholders to update, standardise, and modernise pathways and referral routes. Ensure pathways are clearly defined, clinically credible, operationally workable and replicable across different trust contexts. Support alignment between clinical intent, operational delivery, and commercial commitments.

We’re seeking a highly accountable, delivery-focused Implementation & Service Operations Lead who thrives in complex healthcare environments and brings rigor, pragmatism, and credibility to large-scale NHS deployments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience implementing healthcare services across the NHS, with the operational judgement, stakeholder confidence, and resilience required to translate strategy into reliable, scalable delivery across multiple trusts and sites. Proven experience implementing healthcare services within the NHS, ideally across multiple trusts or sites. Strong background in service operations, transformation, or implementation roles within healthcare, medtech, or life sciences. Demonstrable experience developing and securing approval for NHS business cases or equivalent commercial proposals.
