Operating across the US and UK life‑science hub, we are expanding our pipeline to address high‑impact targets across gastroenterology and related fields. You’ll join a close‑knit team of experts who collaborate daily to translate breakthrough ideas into real‑world solutions. At Cyted Health, every voice matters.

  • Team Interview & Assessment – meet the wider team and complete an assessment such as a short presentation related to the role.
  • Final Interview – an online meeting with our CEO to discuss your goals and the company’s history and vision.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager at Cyted will spearhead strategic growth and market penetration of our innovative EndoSign device and test within the NHS, specifically in the South East of England. The role requires a driven, motivated, and dedicated professional to identify new business opportunities, accurately budget, foster essential relationships with key stakeholders, and drive sales initiatives to maximise revenue and market share.

Working Pattern and Location:

The role is a full-time, 37.5-hour week. The holder may be required to work flexibly. The position is home-based in South East England, with travel to customers and occasionally to our Head Office in Cambridge.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Forge powerful relationships with Health Boards, ICBs, NHS Trusts, Cancer Alliances, and community diagnostic centres. Deeply understand their strategic priorities and operational bottlenecks to position our technology as the essential solution for transforming endoscopy unit efficiency and reducing patient waiting lists.
  • Business Development & Financial Strategy: Partner with customers to navigate funding pathways and develop compelling, data-driven business cases that secure investment for our solutions.
  • Commercial Excellence & Seamless Transition: Drive commercial agreements to close and ensure a frictionless handover and onboarding experience, working in lockstep with the Customer Success team.
  • Customer Advocacy & Optimization: Proactively identify and coordinate with Customer Success to resolve implementation or adoption challenges, maximising value for existing customers.
  • Service Expansion & Market Growth: Identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand service reach across secondary care. Collaborate with ICBs and CDCs to establish innovative, community-based clinics, increasing patient access and driving market penetration.

How We Work:

We strive to care deeply about improving patient outcomes. It means listening, building genuine relationships, and aligning Cyted’s solutions to the priorities of Health Boards, ICBs, Trusts, Cancer Alliances and community diagnostic centres. We expect you to own your territory with confidence and accountability, support customers in developing robust business cases, and convert interest into signed agreements. You’ll manage your pipeline with discipline, forecast accurately, and hold yourself accountable for delivering revenue and growth targets that directly support Cyted’s mission. We aim high, scaling rapidly in a complex and evolving NHS landscape. You’ll help drive market penetration of the EndoSign test by identifying new routes to patients, expanding services into secondary and community-based care, and working creatively with stakeholders to overcome funding and implementation challenges. Your work will shape how and where Cyted’s diagnostics are delivered across the healthcare system. We encourage everyone to challenge and commit, contribute ideas, challenge assumptions about how we sell and deliver our services, and help refine our commercial approach as we grow. You’ll collaborate openly across teams, commit to shared goals, and play an active role in strengthening Cyted’s commercial capability. Above all, we deliver. This role requires energy, momentum and results; you will move opportunities forward, close agreements and support successful implementation, understanding that every new customer represents more patients accessing early diagnosis.

Person Specification:

  • Background in diagnostics and oncology.
  • Experience selling diagnostics (or similar technology) into secondary & primary care.
  • Experience liaising with Heads of Service, Clinical Directors, and other key stakeholder leaders.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, e.g., Miller Heiman.
  • Relatable, personable, and invested in building meaningful, genuine relationships across the healthcare system.
  • Delivery focused and commercially accountable, understanding that expanding Cyted’s customer base delivers better patient outcomes.
  • Strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills, enabling you to understand customer needs and structure aligned value propositions.
  • Confidence in developing actionable business forecasts and delivering key goals and objectives.
  • Bias for action, willingness to get stuck in and make things happen.

Benefits:

  • 25 days holiday per holiday year, plus public holidays.
  • Option to buy an additional 5 holidays.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Annual continuing personal development budget.
  • Medical insurance including dental and optical cover.
  • Life insurance and income protection.
  • Social events including Christmas and Summer parties.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Electric vehicle scheme.
  • Sabbatical after 4 years of service.
  • Relocation allowance if applicable.
