About the Role
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager with a strong background in cyber security to join our team at a leading Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP). In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex security-focused projects for a diverse client base, managing internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure secure, efficient, and timely delivery of services.
You will work across functions including security operations, engineering, and compliance, ensuring that client solutions meet both technical requirements and regulatory standards.

This role requires successful candidates to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance to SC or above.
Salary: £50-55k depending on experience
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the onboarding of all new clients joining our Managed Security Services, and to support internal projects. This role requires a blend of project management and technical co-ordination in a customer-facing role. This pivotal role ensures a seamless, professional, and technically sound transition from the sales phase to full-service delivery.
By delivering an outstanding onboarding experience that lays a solid foundation for long-term customer success and coordinating resources across internal teams to ensure technical requirements are met efficiently and accurately, you will serve as a trusted point of contact for clients during the onboarding phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent technical projects, from initial concept through to deployment and post-launch support.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, risk management, and budget tracking, setting clear onboarding expectations with customers around timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and trust.
- Manage scope, timelines, and resources across multiple concurrent engagements ensuring that onboarding projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality expectations.
- Manage changes to budget, scope, or timelines through established processes.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads, SOC analysts, and other Business stakeholders to deliver bespoke MSSP solutions.
- Ensure project documentation and handover materials are maintained and aligned to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials+).
- Provide regular status updates and performance reports to internal stakeholders and clients including project status tracking and risk mitigation plans.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, dependencies, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with Engineers to deploy and configure log collectors, SIEMs and other monitoring tools and oversee the correct implementation of data ingestion, correlation and alerting mechanisms.
- Validate that SLAs, incident workflows and escalation paths are defined and communicated to operational teams.
- Provide awareness training to customers on SOC processes, tools, and customer portals.
- Continuously improve onboarding processes based on feedback and evolving business needs by gathering and analysing feedback from customers and internal teams in order to enhance the customer experience and efficiency of project delivery.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience managing technical projects in the cyber security space, preferably within a Managed Security Services or consultancy environment.
- An understanding of cyber security domains such as threat detection, network security, SIEM/SOAR, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
- Strong familiarity with project management frameworks, including Agile, Scrum, and/or PRINCE2.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with tools such as TeamWork, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of software development practices and technologies.
Desirable:
- Industry certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or equivalent.
- Security certifications such as Network+, Blue Team Level 1, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with security tools like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Palo Alto, or similar.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) would be advantageous.
