About CyPro
We are an innovative cyber security start-up united in a shared mission: to redefine cyber security for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Our Founders spent most of their early careers delivering cyber security for large enterprises and central government, and they saw a clear need for a new approach to cybersecurity, especially as small to medium-sized businesses became increasingly targeted by cyber criminals. Indeed, by 2022, SMBs were the focus of 75% of cyber attacks, largely due to them being easy targets. Together, CyPro is already setting new standards, defining innovative solutions and equipping its clients with the cyber security they need to prevent attacks, secure bigger clients, and scale to new heights of success. We are growing quickly as a business and the next few years promise more of the same. Joining CyPro will allow you to become an integral part of our mission and join a team of industry experts embarking on this exciting journey.
The Role
You will be in a dynamic, client-facing team, where you will deliver the security needs of a number of high-growth clients through our consultancy and managed services offerings. You’ll work alongside a skilled team provided by CyPro, including a CISO, SOC Manager, Security Architects, Penetration Testers, and Cloud Security Specialists. You will be supporting both our client side delivery and helping us grow our business operations (sales, marketing, etc.). Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Client Side Delivery
- Assist in creating deliverable templates for security assessments and vulnerability analyses for clients.
- Support the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Help in monitoring and analysing security incidents and threats.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Participate in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for clients.
- Grammar and sense checking final deliverables before they go to the client.
- Seek a fundamental cyber security certification such as ISC2’s CC or CISSP.
- Support with managing calendars for CyPro founding partners.
- Minutes from meetings and notes from client workshops.
- Organising team events.
- Helping to update the website.
- Marketing: Support marketing efforts, including content creation, social media management, and using AI to create service explainer videos.
- Sales: Assist in sales activities, such as preparing proposals, conducting market research, and maintaining client relationships.
- Events: Help organise and participate in webinars, workshops, and other promotional events.
- Business Development: Collaborate with the business development team to analyse data sets of leads, identify new opportunities and reach out to potential new clients.
- Procedure How-To Videos: Capturing video how-to’s for standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Soft Skills
There are a handful of ‘soft skills’ which are of critical importance when fulfilling an Analyst role. For example:
- Accountable & Humble – much like a professional athlete, you recognise that you hold the responsibility for your performance at work. The ego is left at the door. Analysts are able to look inward, reflect and constantly identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously Improve – with an acute sense of self-awareness, a strong Analyst is constantly reflecting on their performance and refining their approach. They acknowledge they have much to learn and make mistakes, their focus is on improving quickly and consistently.
Interview Process
We operate differently. No long drawn out recruitment processes - we generally can get candidates through our process (from START to FINISH) within 10 days. Successful candidates can expect the following 3 stage process for this role:
- Video Introduction - you will be invited to send a short 2-3 minute introduction video.
- Telephone Interview - a 20 minute initial chat with a Cyber Security Manager.
- Assessment Centre - a morning in our Canary Wharf office where we do some fun exercises together and hold the final interview with a practice partner.
