The Business Development Manager (UK) will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, managing the full sales cycle, and establishing Cypien AI as a trusted MarTech partner for e-commerce, finance, healthcare, automotive, and additional brands in the UK. This role combines hands-on selling with strategic market development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Own and grow revenue from the UK market.
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to e-commerce and retail brands.
- Manage the full B2B SaaS sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers (CMOs, Heads of E-commerce, Growth Managers, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management via CRM tools.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform go-to-market strategy.
- 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably in MarTech, AdTech, or e-commerce technology.
- Proven track record of closing mid-market or enterprise deals.
- Strong understanding of the UK e-commerce and digital marketing ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with strong forecasting and pipeline management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment.
- Experience selling AI-driven or personalisation products.
- Background in MarTech, CRO, personalisation, or marketing automation tools.
- Existing network within UK e-commerce or retail brands.
- Experience working with international or remote teams.
