CY Partners is recruiting a Quality Officer to join an established global life sciences organisation based in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background and a strong appreciation of quality to join a team responsible for investigating and managing customer complaints from around the world.

We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has excellent attention to detail and can communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments. Experience within medical devices or another regulated industry would be particularly welcome.

The role

Working as part of a global quality team, you'll help ensure customer complaints are investigated thoroughly, documented accurately and resolved appropriately.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the investigation and management of customer complaints from global markets.
  • Reviewing complaint data, identifying trends and helping establish root causes.
  • Working closely with Quality, R&D and other technical teams to support investigations and corrective actions.
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports and complaint tracking systems.
  • Supporting risk assessments and ensuring complaints are handled in line with relevant quality procedures.
  • Communicating investigation findings clearly to colleagues and stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • A degree or equivalent background in a scientific or technical discipline.
  • Experience or a good understanding of quality processes, ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics or another regulated industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigating problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence working with data, reports and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience of customer complaints, quality investigations or root cause analysis would be advantageous.

Why consider this opportunity?

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a global life sciences business, working alongside experienced quality and scientific professionals.

The role offers exposure to international customer complaint investigations, cross-functional problem-solving and quality processes within a regulated industry.
